Learning Centre at Harlow Carr Gardens for the RHS
The Learning Centre at Harlow Carr is currently under construction. The Practice is providing Project Management and Quantity Surveying services.
The project is being developed as a sustaianble development with a super insulated building, incorporating ground source heat pump installation, wind turbine and solar hot water. The building aims to have one of the highest BREEAM ratings for any building in the country.
Construction started in March 2009 and is scheduled for completion in January 2010, with a construction value of £2.1m.
York Minster Revealed
York Minster Revealed is a five year £19m major project involving a programme of stonework repair and conservation to the East Front, conservation of the Great East Window and ancillary projects providing improved access.
The Practice has been involved in providing Quantity Surveying services since the outset of the project along with Interim Project Management services (prior to York Minster Revealed the practice privided Quantity Surveying services to the Dean and Chapter for over ten years).
The project has secured potential Heritage Lottery Fund support and, subject to final HLF approval of the stage 2 application, works are due to commence in 2010.
Pad 55 Housing Development, Pickering
This recently completed award winning housing scheme has been developed around a courtyard and comprises 15 units, plus a communal swimming facility.
The scheme has been developed to high standards of sustainability with heating provided by a gas fired CHP unit via district heating and surplus electricity exported to the grid.
The Pratcice provided Project Management and Quantity surveying services for the project carried out on a partnering basis.
